This week I was inspired by my friend Scott Allen’s post on the AmEx OPEN Forum called: Is your business ready for the new normal?
His excellent article got my attention right at the beginning:
As the economy begins to rebound, are you wondering when things will get back to normal for your business?
If you believe the prognosticators and pundits, there will be no “back to normal.” We’re looking at a “new normal” that we haven’t seen in a long time, if ever.
I’d like you to read Scott’s article as it’s important for all of us. As you read it, think of these questions:
- What are you willing to do differently? And how will you learn to do it?
- How will you know what you need to be doing differently – for your customers, for your industry segment, for your employees? How will you test this? How will you know it’s the right approach? What needs to happen for you to get the buy-in you need to move forward?
- How will you know when it’s time to start making changes? Where will you go to learn the new skills you’ll need?
Ponder those queries as you read Scott’s article. And enjoy.
Remember: if you decide that helping buyers manage their buying decision journey is something you might need to consider adding new skills to accomplish, please have a look at my Guided Study material, my Modules, and consider taking a public program with me in Boston or Austin.
